Preparing a manuscript
We require an electronic file in either MS Word, WordPro, WordPerfect or rich text format, and the file should include all preliminary material needed, such as:
- Contents page
- Dedications
- Synopsis of the story
- Foreword
- Preface
- Acknowledgements
- Index (if required)
- References (if required)
- Back cover description, also known as "back cover blurb"
It would be help us if the text is single spaced, with indented paragraphs rather than spaced paragraphs, and single spaces between sentences. The file can be sent to us electronically as an attachment via an e-mail (please carry out a virus check before sending) on removable media such as a floppy disk, Zip disk, CD or DVD.
If you have black and white photographs or illustrations, there is no extra charge provided they are embedded into the file. If not, there will be a £10.00 charge for each photograph or illustration. To ensure good print reproduction quality, digital images should have a resolution of at least 600 dpi. We do not provide colour photographs or illustrations.
